Welcome! I’m Melissa, and I’m so glad you’re here. I’m a writer, a devoted wife to my husband Chad, and a proud mom to two incredible sons, Hughie and Brian. My passion for storytelling comes from a life shaped by faith, family, and a personal journey of rediscovering God’s grace.

Growing up, books were a huge part of my life, sparking my imagination and teaching me valuable lessons along the way. I found that stories have a special way of connecting us, showing us that we’re not alone in our struggles, dreams, and faith.

Writing has become a way for me to share those same connections and inspire others, especially young readers, to see that no matter what life brings, they have a powerful ally in God.

The Calling of Portelia, my second book (coming soon), holds a special place in my heart. It’s a fantasy story with a foundation built on love, faith, and unity—values that have guided my life and strengthened my relationship with God. In this story, I wanted to show that even through life’s challenges, we’re never alone. My hope is that readers will see themselves in these characters and feel encouraged to keep moving forward, no matter how fierce the storm.

My first book, Reflections in the Well: Rediscovering Faith and Forgiveness, is a more personal journey. It chronicles my own return to faith and the lessons I learned along the way. Writing has not only helped me grow closer to God but has given me the chance to share that journey with all of you.

When I’m not writing, I love spending time with my family, exploring the outdoors, and finding joy in the simple, everyday moments. Thank you for joining me on this journey. I hope my stories inspire you, lift you up, and remind you that with God, all things are possible.
